I chose to be a visual artist because I feel that it is a way to express myself. I have a big imagination and I want the world to see it in their eyes as well. Without my artist ability I think that I would not be as unique as I am with my abilities. In other words, I would pretty much an average Joe.

Good idea to post questions for people to answer in this comment section. You mention that art is a form of self-expression, but I notice that you draw anime characters. Would you say that anime expresses who you are or do you ever do art that is more about your own culture or your own life?

No,anime doesn't expresses who i am but it does express my creativity. I do draw other types of art like protraits,landscaping,and cartooning. The art gallery at CAU is very interesting mainly because most of the art is by black people. They also introduce different styles of art either by the artist experiences or by what they view black people should be.
